TPD in conjunction with Merrill Design Australia recently stage a small but technically complex event at the National Press Club in Canberra on behalf of Chartered Accountants Australia/New Zealand.
It included a live two way vision and audio cross to Geneva with Kofi Anan. A panel session hosted by Emma Alberici which included previous President of East Timor, José Ramos-Horta, INXS muscian Kirk Pengilly and Barbera Norman (Climate Change Institute)
Telstra Broadcast Services helped us with the satellite/fibre links to London and Actua Films in Geneva got the signals from their studio in Geneva to BT Tower. This in turn was webcast to CA’s membership on their dedicated Youtube channel. Dennis Fernandes from StreamGate Pty Ltd helped us out with the webcast side of things.
We brought together our usual team of vidiots/cameramen Rohan Dadswell, John Kovacs as well as Paul Simpson. Adam Maples did the house sound and Simon Byrne was TD and designed the technical side of the event. Merrill Vellenoweth did the set design and Tommy Powell built and installed the set. Tim Austin assisted with house infrastructure and audio assist, as did Owen Ridgeway. David O’Rourke supplied us with some of his fine Meyer Sound equipment!
